Recently, WTAU's WT-WRNDT wire rope health monitoring system was successfully applied for the first time on an inclined shaft trolley at a pumped storage power station in Henan Province. This technology-enabled safety management effectively improved the digital and intelligent monitoring level of construction safety.
This successful application on the inclined shaft trolley of the pumped storage power station is another innovative application of WTAU's wire rope health monitoring system in the field of complex underground lifting equipment, following its application in bridge cranes and cable cranes. It provides a replicable and scalable new solution for the construction safety of complex underground engineering projects.
Traditional wire rope inspection mainly relies on manual inspection, which is not only inefficient but also difficult to identify hidden defects such as broken wires and wear inside the wire rope, posing certain safety hazards. This situation has been improved by introducing WTAU's WT-WRNDT wire rope non-destructive testing system.

This system, based on internationally mainstream magnetic detection technology, can capture damage signals such as broken wires and abrasion in real time during wire rope operation, achieving "detection during operation" and transforming safety supervision from "passive inspection" to "proactive early warning."
The system has the following three core functions:
1. Real-time monitoring and intelligent alarm system: The system monitors the wire rope's operating status around the clock through a remote monitoring platform. Once an abnormal signal is detected, an alarm mechanism is immediately triggered.
2. Damage trend analysis and report output system: The system generates daily damage assessment reports and performs trend analysis based on historical data, helping maintenance personnel understand the health evolution of the wire rope and providing data-driven support for maintenance decisions.
3. Improved operational efficiency and reduced energy consumption: By embedding the detection process into the production operation, the system effectively reduces the time and energy consumption required for traditional detection, while also helping to scientifically extend the service life of the wire rope, achieving cost reduction and efficiency improvement.
Currently, this system has been widely applied in various fields such as cranes and bridge suspension systems, providing a reliable safety monitoring method for high-altitude and high-risk operations. WTAU will continue to dedicate itself to the research and development and promotion of intelligent safety monitoring systems, helping various industries improve their inherent safety levels.
