As an important clean energy source, biomass energy continues to expand in scale and plays a crucial role in industrial and agricultural production, including power generation and heating. However, the inherent characteristics of biomass materials present challenges for conveyor belts during transportation, with longitudinal belt tears being one of the most devastating and costly failures. Ensuring the stable and efficient operation of this material conveying system, the "lifeline" of continuous production, has become a major challenge plaguing enterprises in terms of safe production.
Recently, WTAU's belt tear location AI detection system was successfully accepted by Aneng Biomass Thermal Power Company, providing the company with belt tear detection and damage point location solutions.
The project site faced complex working conditions, including a narrow, confined belt corridor, hot and humid conditions, and the normal operation of the conveyor belts. Despite these challenges, WTAU's service engineers actively coordinated with the user to ensure the installation and commissioning work was completed efficiently and on time through professional skills and tireless efforts. They also successfully completed testing experiments and earned the customer's recognition.
What’s so special about WTAU’s AI-powered belt tear detection system?
Based on visual technology, the system integrates artificial intelligence algorithms and precise positioning modules to create a comprehensive "perception-analysis-location-early warning" detection system, effectively reducing losses caused by faults. It can accurately and proactively identify various fault types, including belt punctures, longitudinal belt cracks, and loose and worn joints. Even in the harsh, dusty, and dimly lit environments of biomass conveying sites, the system ensures clear and stable image acquisition.
Once an abnormality is detected, the system quickly issues a loud alarm via audible and visual alarms, while also displaying real-time warning information on the system interface. Operators can quickly view key information such as the fault image, location, and type, providing data support for rapid troubleshooting.
WTAU's AI-powered belt tear-resistant visual inspection and positioning device not only successfully addresses the long-standing equipment protection challenges faced by the industry but also promotes intelligent biomass conveying, injecting technological momentum into the industry's high-quality development.
