WTAU Products are Installed on the "Tiejian Bridge Pile 1" Super Pile-Driving Vessel.

Apr. 27, 2026

Recently, the piling vessel "Tiejian Bridge Pile 1"—capable of driving piles weighing up to 700 tons—was successfully delivered in Nantong, Jiangsu. This milestone underscores my country's comprehensive domestic capabilities across the entire lifecycle of ultra-large-scale offshore engineering equipment—from design and construction to operation. As a key provider of core safety systems for this vessel, WTAU supplied and installed the LMI WTL-A700 system, along with an anchor winch constant-tension monitoring system, thereby fortifying the safety defenses of this engineering asset with cutting-edge technology.

The *Tiejian Daqiao Zhuang 1* features an overall length of 130 meters and a pile frame height of 156 meters, capable of operating in water depths exceeding 70 meters. It is designed to hoist pile foundations with a maximum weight of 700 tons and a diameter of 7 meters. Its operational scope encompasses offshore, coastal, and sheltered waters, as well as inland waterways classified as Grade A zones, and it possesses unrestricted navigation capabilities for global deployment. The vessel's heavy-lift system is routinely subjected to rigorous operating conditions—including complex sea states, massive loads, and high-precision positioning requirements—thereby imposing exceptionally high demands on the stability, accuracy, and reliability of its safety monitoring equipment.

The crane moment limiter and anchor winch constant-tension monitoring device, custom-engineered by WTAU for this project, integrate real-time monitoring, intelligent early warning, and safety control capabilities. They precisely capture critical parameters—such as lifting load, boom angle, working radius, and operational attitude—to continuously monitor the crane's moment status. This system implements a three-tier safety response protocol: issuing an early warning as the load approaches the rated limit; triggering audible and visual alarms upon reaching the rated capacity; and automatically halting hazardous movements when limits are exceeded—thereby effectively mitigating risks associated with overloading, overturning, and structural damage.

The system is adapted to withstand harsh marine environments characterized by high salt mist, high humidity, and severe motion. It features advanced capabilities such as anti-interference, data logging, and remote interlock functionality. By seamlessly integrating with the vessel's dynamic positioning and hoisting control systems, it ensures the continuous and stable execution of critical operations—including pile driving, pile hoisting, and vessel repositioning—thereby providing comprehensive, all-weather safety support across the full spectrum of operating conditions for major engineering projects, such as offshore wind farms and cross-sea bridges.

The deployment of this system aboard the *Tiejian Bridge Pile No. 1* piling vessel marks another landmark application for WTAU in the field of safety solutions for high-end offshore engineering vessels. The company remains committed to deepening its expertise in hoisting safety monitoring and intelligent control technologies, leveraging reliable products and professional services to drive the safer, more efficient, and more intelligent advancement of my country's deep-sea engineering equipment sector.
