WTAU recently entered into its first business partnership with Hudong-Zhonghua Shipbuilding (Group) Co., Ltd., equipping the shipyard's quay-side high-level cranes with an active LiDAR-based anti-collision system to enhance safety during lifting operations.

WTAU has entered into its first partnership with Hudong-Zhonghua to implement an active anti-collision project using LiDAR for high-position quay crane operations.

The integrated LiDAR-based active collision avoidance system centers on multi-line laser scanning and point-cloud processing technologies. It enables wide-range, three-dimensional spatial scanning to precisely identify obstacles—such as structures, equipment, and personnel—within the operational zone. The system employs a tiered protection mechanism: when a detected object enters the safety threshold, it sequentially triggers audible and visual warnings and initiates speed reduction; if necessary, it links with the equipment to execute a stop command. This effectively compensates for blind spots inherent in manual observation and enhances the active safety capabilities of high-level crane operations at the shipyard quay.

Hudong-Zhonghua Shipbuilding (Group) Co., Ltd. possesses extensive technical expertise in high-end shipbuilding. This collaboration marks the first business engagement between the two parties; it serves as a practical implementation of WTAU’s crane collision avoidance solution in a shipyard quay environment and lays the groundwork for deeper cooperation in areas such as active collision avoidance for portal cranes.

Moving forward, WTAU will continue to optimize its products' adaptability to various operational scenarios and focus on addressing the specific crane safety needs of sectors like shipbuilding, delivering reliable safety monitoring solutions for a wider range of industrial applications.
