Recently, Weite Technology, in collaboration with China Energy Engineering Group Guangdong Thermal Power Engineering Co., Ltd., successfully implemented its newly developed intelligent cableway monitoring system in the construction of the Hainan power grid. This marks the first time that cableways have been used to transport tower materials for Hainan's 500 kV main grid project, garnering widespread coverage from leading media outlets including People's Daily, CCTV News Hainan, and Hainan Power Grid.
The People's Daily reported that the cableway is also equipped with an intelligent monitoring system. This system features three core functions: data monitoring, video surveillance, and AI-powered alarms for the operating area. Powered by solar energy and equipped with wireless data transmission, it adapts to complex field environments and can simultaneously detect overloads, meeting the needs of various operational scenarios. An interview with Li Hong, the project manager, also stated, "We use AI algorithms to monitor transport weight and location in real time, precisely designate work areas, and identify dangerous movements, ensuring more standardized operations."
The project is located at the cableway tower material transportation site in the Baoting section of the Hainan 500 kV Sanya Transmission and Transformation Project. WTAU's cableway intelligent monitoring system is providing real-time monitoring to ensure safety for every tower material transportation trip.
WTAU's intelligent cableway monitoring system integrates three core functions: data monitoring, video monitoring, and AI monitoring of the operating area. It uses solar power and wireless data transmission to adapt to complex outdoor environments. It can effectively avoid violations such as overloading and unbalanced loading on cableways, and meet the needs of different operating scenarios.
From the start of the project to its successful commissioning, Weite Technology's service engineers have always stayed on the front line and taken root in the forest area. Through debugging and optimization, they ensured the system's stable and efficient operation in a complex environment, providing reliable technical support for the project's advancement.
Baoting boasts a forest coverage rate exceeding 80%, with the largest drop in mountain elevation reaching 400 meters. Traditional transportation methods face dual challenges: building temporary roads destroys native vegetation, while vehicle transportation is inefficient due to the mountain's frequent rainy weather. However, cableway transportation takes only 40-45 minutes and can transport 10-15 tons of tower materials daily. Its efficiency is over five times higher than vehicle transportation in rainy weather, and it eliminates the need for extensive road construction, achieving a win-win situation for both engineering construction and ecological protection.
Weite Technology safeguards safety boundaries and empowers intelligent management for its users. Over the past 23 years, we have accumulated extensive experience and expertise in this field. Adhering to the core philosophy of "user-centricity," we diligently explore new technologies and products for safety monitoring. Weite Technology aspires to become a global leader in crane safety management and contribute to the sustainable development and progress of the industry.
